I was doing laundry in the basement and heard a loud “BANG!” and this is what I found. And a brown fuzz face nearby, of course. She’s brought down an iron skillet (and a totally full, large rice cooker) before, so I know that she has super swiping strength. I’m really not sure what she was trying to reach because I didn’t see anything desirable. (Maybe because she ate it?!) What now! . . .

Fed and countersurfed on 1/2, Monday.

Fish breakfast It’s Monday after the New Year but I found out that everyone’s pretty much considering 1/2 a holiday, so that’s that. If my clients aren’t workin’, then I guess I can take a break, too! Fish eyes Since we’re probably not seeing anyone today, MP’s having a stink fish breakfast. It’s one of the jack mackerel cans I got on sale at the stinky Asian grocery. The last can I opened wasn’t nearly as full as this . . .

JUST ONE LEFT Hump Fun! I made four tofu steaks on the grill for dinner: 2 for tonight, 2 for later. I was just about to eat when I noticed that the toaster oven that I was baking eggshells in had caught on fire. I think some dumb ass cheese must have melted off onto the bottom recently and flamed up. I had already set down my dinner plate so I pointed at my food and told MP, “LEAVE IT! NOT YOURS!” as I stumbled . . .
