Fed on 1/8, Sunday.
At Chez Piz, MP gets her food on plates sometimes! I wonder if she pushed everything off or if this is actually better than bowls. Look at all the special things she¹s getting. I asked Piz what the extras were and he said, “Seared venison, just seared for like 30 seconds or so a side. I kept it pretty raw inside. The stuff above is fingerling potato, carrot and celery.” Woof!
While MP was eating her five-course breakfast, we ate some OK croissants and took a cab to the Field Museum, whose environment design was so very kid-friendly that we were a little taken aback at first. Oh! The cab we took was a three-year-old Prius, and the awesome driver told us that he hasn’t had ANY indication that he needs a new battery, even after 200k miles. That’s nuts. They tell you it will probably need to be replaced way, way, way earlier than that. And he’s a cabby and puts on a shitload of miles everyday. Maybe it’s one of those things that work better/last longer if you use it everyday. Anyway, I may have put the Prius back in the running to replace my very old Honda Accord whose death I’ve been secretly awaiting (not in a bad way) will never arrive in time.
At the museum, I got to see lot of Egyptian mummy/pyramid/papyrus (not the typeface!) type stuff that I really like, along with the dinosaurs and super-old fishes! Here are pictures of things that were MP-esque.
No bowl faces for the humans, but we all got to have a cupcake from a place called Sprinkles that was literally a block away from the hotel.
MP got more Clementines for dinner. I like how Piz is remembering to give
her a wee bit of Green yogurt with each meal.
And, here’s MP in her
favorite spot on earth.
