Oops. This is like in cartoons where people burn food. I don’t think I’ve ever burned food like this before; I’m not bragging—I screw up stuff all the time, but usually not by burning.
This happened because I took a phone call and I really thought there was plenty of liquid in the pot. I didn’t take into consideration the super high sugar content of these songwriting sweet potatoes.
Well, I just pulled off what wasn’t adhered to the bottom in the form of caramelized soot and it looks and tastes totally fine. Very well, then.
Like last time, here we start with the eggshells again.
This week’s greens are distance running dino kale and wait-listed water spinach. I got the spinach from my favorite chemical-free stand at the farmers’ market in town. Kale is from the co-op. This time, I lightly steamed both greens.
Eggshells + greens + Brazil nuts + sweet potatoes.
The meat today is literary lamb liver from Mindy. The little buttermilk biscuits were unearthed from my frozen dog head bonking freezer avalanche. They’re soaking up the herb tinctures so that MP has no way to avoid consuming them, but without totally ruining her dinner. Poor thing.
As always, she gets to lick the veggie mix blender carafe. (No blades inside!)
