Kale and more liver (because I didn’t plan well)

MP got liver again for dinner because I keep forgetting to thaw the big chunks of meat in the freezer. Not that liver is bad, but I think they’re kind of on the heavier side and I rarely give it 2 days in a row. Oh well. I’m sure MP doesn’t mind.

The dino kale and carrot are lacto-fermented—I use the whey from over-funked out1 kefir and add a little sea weed. It’s actually super yummy and I steal it all the time. I got the kale from my friend, Alissa’s organic garden (because I can’t grow shit). Alissa is a raw food expert and certified chef and has a cool blog about going raw. Piz and I were helping her garden because she was in crutches recovering from a car accident. I also offered to drive her around but we decided two Asian girls can’t drive around in a car safely together.2 Anyway, because I will take food when someone offers, I took a bunch of her delicious kale.


1Basically, just separated into curds and whey, which is what happens. Really sour and all, but not bad or anything.
