Fed on 1/14, Friday.
Friday night movies time! MP got her first bony meal since her surgery (and chocolate theft). I think that bones are a little harder on the belly and the path to the butt, so MP won’t get much RMBs if there’s any reason to rest her insides. Calcium can come from lots of different things, and teeth can get cleaned in other ways or they can wait (…forever).
Speaking of teeth, I was really happy to find that MP has the mouth version of her iron gut! Since she was going to be under anesthesia anyway, I asked supervet Janna to give her a cleaning if she needed it at all. It turns out that her teeth are superduper awesome and there wasn’t even a little bit of cleaning necessary! It is kind of mind-boggling because I don’t really brush her teeth (hold the bricks!) and I don’t give *that* much bone. I also know that teeth are a bit of crapshoot regardless of the care and food you give your dog, since genetics and all kinds of stuff can affect one’s dental health. I know lots of really well-fed dogs with teeth that just can’t get a break, and Piz has never had a cavity even though he really neglects his corncobs. Anyway, MP and I got really lucky with her teeth and I am so very happy about it!
Dinner is toesocks wearing cod with veggie mix. These are good price at Trader Joe’s and I like that they’re not earth-ending nor poison-laden. I prefer to do smaller fish like sardines, but we haven’t been to our usual boiled-pee spot lately. We’ll go soon.
And, here is coddorkdog.
What MP Ate:
- chicken legs
- cod
- veggie mix
- lentils
- cheese
- tomato
- wakame
- celery
- cookies I made

Yay for great teeth! That’s something to be very, very happy about.
(Lemmie tell ya, with over $4,000 in dental care spent on my dog so far, not counting products to help prevent issues – I really miss my non-teeth-issue dogs big time!)
Thanks so much, Sabine!
Oh man…$4000. My imaginary savings account weeps for your real one.
xo!
