Fed on 6/3, Sunday.
Check this out. The egg on the left is a normal “extra large” egg. The one on the right is a dinosaur egg. I found them both in the same bulk egg bin at the Harvest Moon co-op. Is this not the most awesome egg, ever?? When I saw it, I was like, “THIS ONE, PLEASE.”
I was showing Piz the monster egg when an employee walked up to us and said that she was totally like “whoa!” when she saw it, too. What I don’t understand is that other people have grabbed eggs from the bulk trays since the crazy egg was offered, but no one else took it. Whyyyyyyy?! Is it because this is sweet Minnesota (and in the burbs at that)? Not only do I make sure that I get the largest eggs possible from these bulk bins, but if I were to find a dinosaur egg, you better believe that I’m buying it, even if I didn’t need any kind of egg. And, since buying a dozen is a better deal (by something like a whole quarter!) than buying just one, I would totally buy an entire dozen even if I had seven eggs at home. (I like eggs.) Bless you sweet folks who left the giant egg for me to go nuts on. And, of course, it was twins!
MP ate the twin Brontosaurus like it was any other egg.
Dinner is beef kidney.
It’s definitely more KIDNEH! than the little lamb ones (which are the size of the mammoth egg), but I handle them when they’re still semi-frozen, so it’s not so bad. I’m curious about kidney pie and think I should try it one of these days. Of all the kidneys, Mindy’s would be the one to try.
