Chicken legs for breakfast. This is part of the hoard stash purchased yesterday. She’ll have two this morning.
Back at home for some chicken heart dinner! She gets an egg for the extra calories she burned up while riding the countersurfer rollercoaster of becoming elated and immediately disappointed every time she followed me around hoping for some cake. Can’t have any, MP!
See? She’s pooped. She likes to sleep with her head covered up. I have a whole series of sleep shapes that she makes. But that’s another post.
So, there’s a delicious Japanese dish called “oyakodon” that’s basically a rice bowl topped with chicken and onion cooked in seasoned broth, covered with beaten egg(s) and cooked until the egg is set and just a liiiittle bit runny. “Oyakodon” literally means, “parent and child bowl.” I never thought anything of this name until one day, someone who is learning Japanese noted how morbid and weird it was.
Anyway, putting chicken hearts and eggs together made me sort of think of that. She had legs for breakfast, too. All stages chicken meals.
