Fed on 2/19, Saturday.
More pickled beef in a bowl! I’m really liking doing this to MP’s meat in the fridge. Pancake dog loves the taste (she likes pickles, period) and it’s good for her.
I wanted to link to some apple-cider-vinegar-is-the-best! pages on the internet (there are NUTS ones, where people are thoroughly convinced it can solve all of the world’s problems), and saw this gem:
Hahaha!!! Then, I saw this:
I know that the first one is just hilarious Google truncation, but the Angelfire one (funny on its own) is for real.
The above derailed me from actually finding good info about soaking meat in ACV, except for the usual marinade recipes (which you should put in a spray bottle and use as an air freshner).
I like this doodis face. Her whole lippydoo is being sucked into her mouth. Marmaduke sound!
Colleen and I had a fun day today! We found cute shoes for her, and I got to go to REI, the bestest store on earth, to swap out the broken lid on my to-go tea thermos (aka my pacifier). We then went to the Wedge to get some groceries for dinner. There, I got a dozen Harmony eggs to pickle—they were still on sale! They’re my favorite non-Mindy eggs, and Colleen helped me pick out the biggest ones from the bulk trays. I’ll never get bulk eggs without her, again! For dinner, we made some Chinesey noodle soup and ate the dessert from the Wedge, and talked and talked and talked. Smiles and funs!
I shall update on the pickled eggs, in case anyone is curious.
Oh! Here is what MP got for dinner. Chicken neck soup and an egg! It totally sucked pulling the 4mm pieces of meat from the necks. I almost quit, but then just couldn’t throw them out because all those chickens lived and died for us.
What MP Ate:
- beef
- chicken neck soup
- egg
- apple cider vinegar
- gobo
- daikon
- mesclun mix
- cake
- banana
- yogurt
- veggie mix

I get that angelfire is laughable but I don’t get what’s so funny about gargling with vinegar. Edumacate me.
Gargling is awesome, but they tell you to swallow it.
and…. I still don’t get it.
I know, I sux. I’ll stop now. My computer is about to become a very expensive paperweight, and it’s hot and I’m grumpy.
I don’t get what’s funny either.
Wha…do you guys swallow your gargles? Maybe I’ve been wasting my gargles all this time… :S
I haven’t gargled anything in a long time! I usually use salted water, though, so I don’t swallow that.
If I was gargling with vinegar I don’t see why not. I usually gargle if I have a sore throat, so I would think the vinegar would help as it went down too, and it’s good for your tum.
^ that. Salt water here too. I don’t like vinegar, so that whole idea makes me feel somewhat queasy.
I freely admit to having this site in my favorites though – “1001 uses for white distilled vinegar” : http://www.vinegartips.com/scripts/pageViewSec.asp?id=11
Ahahaha. OH I see. Y’all, I believe I have a fundamentally different image of what is happening in my throat when I gargle. I picture pagillions of germs with pointy tails and sunglasses that get ripped off my throat and hurricaned into the gargle bubbles. Therefore, the gargle then has to be spit out because it now contains all the pointy germs.
But isn’t the meat marinade air freshener funny???
Yes, that one is funny.
Yesssss!!
If your stomach acids can’t kill off a mouthful of germs, you probably need to swallow some vinegar!
