Fed on 5/3, Thursday.
Beefin’ around all day! I got a few pounds of beef from the co-op so that’s what we’ll be having until I decide to take the time necessary to portion out the meat into foil packets for freezing. Since I’m super lazy, I have a feeling MP will be eating beef for at least another day.
Although the food situation is not particularly exciting, we are super psyched about ordering a harness called the ComfortFlex from PDC.
From the website, it appears they’re wholesale distributor for several product lines, including Nina Ottosson’s toys.

(WANT!! Many of my friends have them and I feel like I’m depriving MP because we don’t have any. She’s a puzzle solver so I think she would love these. I like the Dog Worker and Tornado!*)
Anyway, after reading and hearing about great reviews about these harnesses from friends on ODO and others, I decided to get one for MP. Since MP is the World’s Most In-Between Sized Dog on Earth, I sent the company an inquiry about proper sizing. I received a prompt response saying that I need to call and talk about what to do. The next day, I spoke with a super nice lady, Marianne, who told me that MP is totally going to need a custom built harness. “Custom” makes the MY DOG IS SPECIAL!! part of my brain happy, but my Frugal Noodle gets the blues. No worries, it turns out, because custom fitting can be done without extra cost, and that it will be the same price as a standard harness! Woo hoo!
So, after the call, I re-measured MP just in case, took some pictures showing her shape, and sent off my order. Although it was a hard decision about the color, I think we are going with the yellow—for cuteness and visibility. She’ll look like a bumble bee, I think.
